During my career as an engineer and later as an engineering leader I felt the pain of organisations and leaders having a heard time of creating a resourceful environment of trust and productivity. The main agenda for many people was to hide mistakes and lie about progress they made on projects, which meant false reports for companies. Leaders haven't gotten the proper help to resolve impediments and conflicts, which often resulted from bad planning. In result and observation: Those companies move slow, had to lay off their staff, haven't created an innovation or created and added value below the market average rate.
Especially in times of recession companies can not effort that and need to build resilient and effective leadership to be able to transform their teams and organisation to be on their highest productivity.
